about

Ludvig Daae is a Norwegian choreographer and dancer. In 2017 he choreographed a piece for
Cullberg at the Nobel Prize Banquet in Stockholm City Hall. He has created performances
for Norrdans, the Royal Swedish Ballet School, KHiO and Ravnedans. For the moment he is
touring his latest piece The Viral Dance, which is a collaboration between himself and
film maker Joanna Nordahl and creating his latest piece Landscape, premieres in June
2021 at Dansens Hus in Stockholm.
When creating his own work, Ludvig always has an interest in entertainment and popular
culture. He feels that dance art can benefit from having a theoretical platform to rest
on and develop from, without the performance being weighted by theoretical language.
As a dancer he has collaborated with Deborah Hay (USA), Mårten Spångberg (SE) and
Compagnie Thor (BE) among others. His own work have been presented in 14 countries in
venues such as Oslo Opera House (NO), Sophiensaele (DE), The Place (UK), Vooruit (BE),
Gessnerallee (CH), Moderna Museet (SE), Biennale de danse de Val du Marne (FR), MDT (SE),
Brut (AT), GUIdance (PT), Dansens Hus (SE), Zodiak (FI) and Dansens Hus (NO)
